Your new role
As a Trainee Accountant, you'll embark on a formal training contract to study for your ACA or ACCA qualification. Your responsibilities will include:

• Bookkeeping to trial balance
• Preparing VAT returns and reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Preparing annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
• Assisting with client payrolls, personal tax returns, and audits
• Supporting ad hoc assignments and contributing to process improvements

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm (37.5 hours per week) and includes paid study leave.
What you'll need to succeed

• Strong academic background: GCSE Maths and English (grade 6 or above) and ideally three A Levels, including Maths at grade B or above.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Initiative, drive, and excellent organisational skills
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• A positive attitude and sense of humour
