Location:

Camberley. Reporting to:
Procurement Manager. Travel: up to 20% domestic, 10% European.

• Select and onboard new suppliers aligned with our commodity strategy.
• Provide timely pricing and lead‑time responses to support customer quotations.
• Negotiate and award supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with commercial, planning, scheduling and New Product Introduction requirements.
• Validate and verify new supplier parts to ensure quality and compliance.
• Support the Materials and Planning team with ongoing purchasing and issue resolution.
• Work closely with suppliers, engineering and production to drive swift resolution of quality concerns.
• Ensure supplier adherence to ISO
  9001 and other relevant standards.
• Support cost estimation and ensure financial accuracy according to company standards.

• Consistently meeting cost, quality and delivery performance metrics.
• Strong customer service mindset and reliable continuity of supply.
• High-quality supplier relationships and measurable performance improvement.

• Experience managing Electronic, Electrical or related commodities in a regulated, design responsible environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering requirements and supplier flow-down.
• Ability to audit suppliers and coach them through improvement initiatives.
• Skilled negotiator with strong analytical capability.
• Confident communicator able to simplify complex issues into clear summaries.
• Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel).
• Ability to travel (20% domestic, 10% European).
• Full, clean driving licence.

• Experience in regulated sectors (Nuclear, Defence, Oil & Gas, etc.).
• Knowledge of Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA).
• Basic financial understanding.
• Experience managing supplier quality issues.
• CIPS Level 3+ (or working towards).
• Experience in a design-and-build manufacturing organisation.

• Understanding of international trade rules.
• Experience with MRP2, Lean MRP or Demand‑Driven Supply Chain concepts.
• ISO
  9001 Internal Auditor qualification.
