Mechanical Design Engineer – Creo

The Redline Group is working in partnership with a specialist engineering organisation to support their search for a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer for an initial 3 month contract, working to deliver a key product development programme. We are looking for someone who is available to start as soon as possible and can be onsite full time in Camberley, Surrey.

They have been an industry–renowned name for many years, with a reputation for intrinsically safe electronics. As a result of growth and major project wins, they are seeking the skills of a professional contractor to help them get the next generation of their product out to market both on time and in budget.

The successful Contract Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for redesigning 3D CAD models and updating engineering drawings, along with updates and amendments to existing drawings and associated Bill of Materials (BOMs).

Key Skills Required – Contract Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Strong experience using PTC Creo Direct Modelling for 3D CAD and engineering drawings
• Proven ability to produce and maintain fully traceable design documentation (BOMs, specifications, test plans, ECRs)
• Experience working to BS 8888 standards, including GD&T
• Knowledge of international engineering standards
• British citizenship required

Desirable

Experience:

• Experience with in safety critical industries such as nuclear, defence or oil & gas
• Design for manufacture and assembly (DFM / DFA)
• Experience with design reviews, FMEA and configuration management

This role has an indicative OUTSIDE IR35 determination therefore we can accept candidates who would like to operate through their own PSC.
