RolePurpose
The Paraplanner will play a key role in supporting advisers and maintaining high standards of advice delivery across the business. Working collaboratively with paraplanning colleagues, advisers, compliance and administration teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate, compliant and client-focused reports while contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and processes. The role involves managing complex cases, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency, and supporting the integration of robust advice standards across a growing organisation.
Your contribution will directly influence advice quality and overall client experience.
- Formulating advice through detailed research and technical analysis
- Producing compliant, well-structured suitability reports and letters across:
- Investments
- Pensions
- Inheritance tax planning
- Tax-efficient investments
- Trust planning
- Protection solutions
- Preparing cashflow modelling and planning forecasts
- Providing technical research and support to advisers and senior management
- Contributing to and enhancing paraplanning processes and procedures
- Supporting change initiatives and embedding best practice
- Working collaboratively with administration and advice teams to ensure positive client outcomes
- Liaising with compliance to maintain and improve file quality in line with FCA requirements
- Assisting senior leadership and department heads as required
- Keeping up to date with legislative and regulatory developments impacting clients and the business
- Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent), or near completion
- Previous paraplanning experience
- Experience with in a financial advice or wealth management environment
- Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, taxation and protection
- Proven ability to produce accurate, compliant and client-focused suitability reports
- Excellent understanding of FCA regulations and advice standards
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to technical accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, particularly for complex planning scenarios
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
