Registered Nurse - Bank

This bank Registered Nurse post is at Bagshot Gardens Care Home, an elderly care home run by Avery Healthcare Group. The role centres on acting as person in charge, standing in for the Manager when needed, and ensuring high standards of care for residents. Day-to-day work includes nursing tasks such as medication, dressings and catheterisation, supervising care staff, and keeping families and GPs informed of changes in condition.

Current NMC registration and at least two years' experience are required, along with a DBS check that the employer pays for.

• Act as person in charge, standing in for the Manager and acting on their behalf when required
• Ensure high standards of care for residents
• Carry out nursing tasks including medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic conditions
• Deploy and supervise care team staff so that tasks are completed and residents receive required care
• Carry out accurate assessment and care planning
• Advise families of residents and GPs of changes in condition that cause concern, keeping them involved in choices about ongoing care

• First Level qualification
• Relevant post-basic studies or qualification

• Current NMC registration

• Minimum 2 years' experience
• Up to date knowledge of care

• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities
• Sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application

• DBS disclosure check, cost met by the employer
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
