ROLE OVERVIEW We are currently looking for an Antibody Discovery Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical company based in the UK, supporting their innovative antibody research and development efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge discovery projects focused on bovine antibodies, helping to shape the future of therapeutics through advanced in vitro display and single B cell technologies.
This role offers a unique chance to work within a dynamic, collaborative team dedicated to delivering fit-for-purpose antibodies for multiple disease areas. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in the design, development, and application of novel antibody discovery platforms and workflows.
- Play a key role in the discovery and optimisation of monoclonal antibodies to support the company's therapeutic pipeline.
- Generate high-quality, bespoke display libraries for antibody discovery and refinement.
- Apply state-of-the-art phage- and yeast-display techniques for library screening and selection.
- Prepare and analyse next-generation sequencing datasets to inform decision-making.
- As the Antibody Discovery Scientist you will perform binding assays to assess affinity and kinetics of antibody-antigen interactions.
- A Degree or higher level in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Proven experience in display techniques such as phage or yeast display.
- Demonstrable expertise in antibody research, protein engineering, next-generation sequencing, and data analysis.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for advancing innovative therapies.
