About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic One-Year Placement Student – Event Executive to join our team as part of a degree placement year in Event Management, Hospitality or a related subject.
This role is designed to provide broad, hands‑on experience across the event industry. During the 12‑month placement, you will rotate across several departments, including:
- Event Management
- Delegate Management & Registration
- Creative Services & Event Production
You will gain practical experience supporting live projects, working with clients and suppliers, and learning how a professional event management business operates end to end. Training, support and structured development will be provided throughout the placement.
Key Responsibilities:Depending on the department rotation, responsibilities may include:
- Supporting Event Managers with the planning and delivery of live events
- Assisting with delegate management, registrations and attendee communications
- Researching and sourcing venues, hotels, restaurants and event suppliers
- Liaising with venues and suppliers to obtain availability, rates and proposals
- Responding to booking requests and enquiries via internal systems
- Supporting on‑site event delivery when required
- Assisting the Creative Services team with event concepts, proposals and presentations
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Providing general administrative and operational support across teams
This role will also offer you exposure to both client-facing and behind‑the‑scenes aspects of event delivery.
Skills/Qualifications/Attributes:- Studying towards a degree in Event Management, Hospitality or a related subject, with a mandatory or optional placement year
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Willingness to learn, with a positive and proactive attitude
- A team player who enjoys collaborating with others
- Confident communicator with good verbal and written skills
- Professional, reliable and enthusiastic
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Able to build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and suppliers
- Interest in events, hospitality and live experiences
Previous experience in events, hospitality, customer service or administration is desirable but not essential
Full training and support will be provided throughout the placement
