About the RoleDue to continued growth and development we are looking for a Transport and Compliance Manager to join our Transport Division at the Camberley Depot. The role focuses on efficient and compliant operation of the transportation fleet, with meticulous maintenance planning, regulatory adherence and safety protocol implementation.

Salary£31,000 - £37,500 (subject to experience), plus a company vehicle and fuel card.

- Vehicle Maintenance
- Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for the transportation fleet.
- Collaborate with in-house maintenance teams and external service providers to ensure timely and efficient repairs and inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including schedules and associated costs.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Stay abreast of UK transportation regulations and standards, ensuring Lanes Group Ltd's compliance with local, national, and industry-specific laws.
- Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Work closely with relevant authorities and agencies to address compliance issues and stay informed about updates.
- Safety Protocols
- Implement and enforce robust safety protocols to minimise accidents and ensure the well-being of our transportation personnel.
- Provide comprehensive training to drivers and other staff on safety procedures and compliance requirements.
- Investigate and promptly report any accidents or incidents, taking corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Working with Key Stakeholders
- Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to ensure seamless communication and alignment of objectives.
- Engage with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and clients to address concerns, provide updates, and foster positive relationships.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and compliance activities.
- Generate reports for Lanes Group PLC management, highlighting key performance indicators related to maintenance and compliance.
- Vendor Management
- Collaborate effectively with external vendors for vehicle maintenance and compliance services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maintaining high-quality standards.

About YouThe ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance within the context of our operations. In-depth knowledge of UK transportation regulations and compliance standards is required, as is experience with maintenance software and record-keeping systems. A full UK driver’s licence is crucial to the role.
