Salary: £17.30 per hour inclusive of holiday pay or £15.44 per hour exclusive of holiday pay

Advance is looking for Casual Support Workers in Camborne, Tremayne, Cornwall to support customers with learning disabilities/ autism/ complex needs/ mental health conditions to live the lives they choose. • Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
• Medication administration (if required)
• Support with preparing and cooking meals
• Support with attending medical appointments
• Support with social activities
• Support with independent skills
• Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
• Keeping up to date with your training
• Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night
• Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
• Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety

If you think a Casual Support Worker role sounds right for you, you will need to be:

• Experience desirable in supporting people with behavioural challenges, those with autism and/or learning disabilities and Positive Behaviour Support
• Good at working on your own and within a team
• Excellent at communicating with people
• Able to complete quality support records
• Able to work day shifts between 7am and 10pm
• Able to work waking nights shifts between 10pm and 7am
• Able to work sleep-in shifts between 10pm and 7am
• Able to work weekends
• Ability to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records
• Need to be literate and numerate in English
• Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate
