# Senior Analyst (Engagement and Population Insight)## About the role
We are looking to recruit a Senior Analyst (Population and Engagement) to join the Policy, Performance and Intelligence service. We want you to play an important role in ensuring the council can harness the potential of data, using evidence and best practice to support and inform the development of policy, strategy, plans and budgets, and in turn deliver the Corporate Strategy for Cambridgeshire County Council.
Experience in a consultation, engagement, research or analyst roles are desirable for this role. Required is the ability to deliver highly accurate work to agreed timescales. Knowledge of consultation software, data collection methods and good experience with analytics are required. We are open to candidates that may have either strong data analyst skills or consultation skills with the willingness to learn all elements of the role.
The role will sit within the Corporate Insight team and responsibilities will include:
1) Lead on Consultation and Engagement support within the council, providing critically important consultation and engagement advice and support to colleagues at all levels. Supporting and designing key corporate consultations such as Local Government reorganisation, Business planning and other key council priorities and managing the analysis of the results. You will also take responsibility for our Your Voice platform.
2) Supporting the HR service to aid with strategic workforce planning. This means working closely with HR partners and stakeholders from other directorates to provide workforce insights including sickness absence, learning and development tracking including digital skills and building and developing PBI dashboards.
3) Managing Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Insight – our partnership to provide a one stop shop for data and insight across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
4) Analysing and presenting relevant corporate datasets such as ACORN, IMD
2025 and others to key stakeholders across the organisation.

The roles will sit within Cambridgeshire County Council’s newly formed Policy, Performance & Intelligence service. A team of around 50 individuals who provide data, analysis insight and policy expertise to support the operational management and strategic planning of services.

** hybrid role with an expectation that you will work one day per week from the office with the team**. There are also monthly service days as well as the need for in person training and IT support.
