Hourly Rate:
Up to £20.00 per hour, depending on experience
Overtime paid at Time and a half
Permanent | Full-Time

Location:

In the Sandy / Cambourne / St. Neots / Huntingdon area
Due to out-of-town location, own transport is essential.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder / Fabricator for a hands-on role involving TIG welding and fabrication of stainless-steel materials ranging from 1.0mm to 12mm in thickness. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining high standards of craftsmanship while adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform TIG welding and fabrication on stainless steel, including pipework/purge.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, ensuring understanding of tolerances and fabrication techniques.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace, complying with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate effectively with team members in production and on-site environments.
Uphold quality engineering practices in all tasks.

Qualifications:

City & Guilds qualification in Welding and Fabrication or an apprenticeship in an engineering environment preferred.
Proven experience with stainless steel welding and fabrication.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Knowledge of health and safety practices.

Working Hours:

39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the following schedule:

Monday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Tuesday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Wednesday & Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
Friday: 7:30 am - 12 noon (unless working overtime)

Overtime:
Available and compensated at 1.5 times the hourly rate for weekdays and Saturday mornings.
