Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking a talented and motivated graduate to join our Cellular Technology team as a Graduate AI and Wireless Software Engineer. In this permanent role, you will be involved in prototyping, implementing, optimising, and verifying modem software modules that are critical to the performance of our advanced 5G and emerging 6G chipsets. You will also explore how artificial intelligence and machine learning can make them faster, smarter and more power-efficient.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and have the opportunity to influence the future of Media Tek’s hardware and software platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, prototype, and optimise software modules for 5G and 6G modem chipsets.
  • Use AI-assisted development and analysis tools to accelerate design, debugging, and verification.
  • Implement and verify software across different layers of the modem architecture.
  • Use tools and techniques to measure and improve performance (MIPS, memory) and power consumption.
  • Explore the application of AI/ML techniques to modem algorithms and software, from data-driven model development through to efficient deployment on resource-constrained embedded platforms.
  • Collaborate with hardware, DSP, AI, and standards engineers locally and globally.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Media Tek’s wireless platforms through innovation and technical expertise.
You’ll be:
  • Adaptable and keen to learn, open to picking up new tools, technologies, and ways of working, including AI-assisted development.
  • Motivated by solving complex technical challenges and finding innovative solutions.
  • Curious about AI and how it can be applied to solve real-world engineering problems.
  • Self-driven and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • An effective communicator, able to share ideas clearly and concisely.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related technical discipline, at Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD level.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
  • Programming experience (ideally in C, C++, or Python).
  • Ideally, familiarity with wireless communication systems (not essential).
