The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides safe, high-quality nursing care to patients and residents across the MICs Group of Health Services, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario.

As a key member of the Patient Care Team, the RPN supports direct patient care, medication administration, care planning, and patient and family education. The RPN works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, demonstrates sound clinical judgment, and maintains accurate records while promoting a safe and respectful environment.

This role requires a commitment to patient safety, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing patient needs in a dynamic healthcare setting.

• Registered Practical Nurse with the Ontario College of Nurses
• One year current work experience preferred
• Previous experience in Acute Care setting, Complex Continuing Care or Long Term Care setting
• Current BLS – Heart and Stroke
• Knowledge & practice of Nursing Process, CNO standards & legislated acts to provide quality patient care to all age groups; follow best practice guidelines
• Communication skills level to understand and follow facility policies & procedures
• English speaking, French an asset
• Experience with computers including Outlook, PCC, PCS/Meditech
• Physical ability to perform job duties
• A satisfactory criminal record check will be required by the successful candidate as a condition of employment

• Rate of pay: $36.70 / hour as per the SEIU collective agreement
• Paid benefits and vacation as per the SEIU collective agreement
• Enroll in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
