My client, a well-established family-owned organization in the manufacturing and services sector, is actively seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its accounting team. This hands-on role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys managing day-to-day financial operations, mentoring staff, and working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
With operations across Canada and the United States, this organization offers the opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the financial health of a growing business. The successful candidate will oversee a team of four Accounting Clerks and be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all core accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and reconciliations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of four Accounting Clerks.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial transactions for accuracy.
  • Support inventory accounting and related reporting activities.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with day-to-day financial management activities.
  • Utilize Quick Books to maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • CPA designation is considered an asset but is not required.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Inventory accounting experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
