Our client, a small bookkeeping firm based in Cambridge, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their growing team! This is an excellent opportunity for a bookkeeping professional who enjoys working with a variety of clients and takes pride in delivering accurate financial information and exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will manage full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll responsibilities for multiple small business clients while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

This is a hybrid position in Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
  • Prepare invoices and support collections activities
  • Process payroll and administer payroll-related functions
  • Complete WSIB administration tasks
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare and file HST and other applicable tax remittances
  • Record month-end and year-end journal entries
  • Assist with year-end accounting activities and provide documentation to external Accountants
  • Generate financial reports using Quick Books Desktop and Quick Books Online
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records
Qualifications:
  • Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or related post-secondary education
  • Minimum 3 years experience performing full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll
  • Strong knowledge of Quick Books Desktop and Quick Books Online is required, as is advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation is an asset
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy are essential
  • Candidates must have proven ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Candidates must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional client visits
