Journeyman Automotive Technician –
Cambridge Hyundai
, Cambridge, ON – Full‑time, immediate hire.

Flat rate: $40.00 per hour. Production bonus. Signing bonus: $1,000. Retention bonus: $2,000, payable after 6 months.

• Perform vehicle repairs and/or maintenance as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, complying with dealership and OEM standards.
• Communicate regularly with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production/repairs, cycle times, and customer communication.
• Conduct multi‑point inspections to recommend repairs, ensuring safety and reliability before the vehicle is returned.
• Document all work on the vehicle repair order, creating a story in the system consistent with OEM standards and ensuring warranty payment from the manufacturer.
• Maintain an inventory of common technician tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as a “store‑provided” piece of equipment.
• Stay current with factory technical bulletins and attend factory‑sponsored training classes as required.
• Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue.

• Strong knowledge of various makes and models.
• Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate, completed or in process.
• Red Seal Certification considered an asset.
• Completion of a related post‑secondary program and/or training courses.
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and work ethic.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving history.
