Tutor – Elementary / Middle School (Part‑Time)

Part‑Time
Pay: $18.50 – $20.00 per hour.
Position Requirements
Teacher‑Tutors work after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm). This is an in‑person position; applicants must be able to commute to the Cambridge site. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field, or third‑year university student.
Working toward a teaching certification is an asset.
Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 9 curriculum.
Experience
Some experience teaching/tutoring at Kindergarten‑to‑Grade 9 level.
Strong written and fluent English orally; ability to guide student understanding.
Ability to multitask and work with up to three students simultaneously.
Ability to craft professional progress reports.
Responsibilities (Position Details)
Teach up to three students at a time at different academic levels.
Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
Fill in post‑lesson notes and monthly progress reports.
Provide daily student communication updates.
Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
