Ballet Teacher – 2026–2027 Dance Season
Element Dance Arts | Cambridge, ON
Element Dance Arts is seeking a RAD-certified Ballet Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 dance season.
We are looking for an educator who is confident working across recreational, part-time competitive, and competitive ballet programs, and who is excited to support dancers through RAD examinations, performances, and long-term technical development.
Contract & Teaching Opportunities
Primary contract:
September 2026 – June 2027
Additional opportunities:
Supply teaching:
May & June 2026
Drop-in classes:
July & August 2026
Potential for growth within the ballet program over time
Role Responsibilities
Teach ballet classes for:
Recreational dancers
Part-time competitive dancers
Competitive dancers
Prepare and enter students for RAD examinations in the spring
Create age- and level-appropriate choreography for:
Annual recital
Potential competitive choreography
Support dancers’ technical growth while maintaining a positive, encouraging learning environment
Collaborate with the artistic and administrative team
Communicate clearly with students, families, and studio leadership
Maintain organized lesson plans and exam preparation timelines
Required Qualifications
RAD Certification (required)
Strong knowledge of syllabus-based ballet training
Training through NSB TTP an asset
Experience preparing dancers for RAD exams
Comfortable choreographing for stage and group settings
Ability to work with dancers of varying abilities and commitment levels
Professional, reliable, and receptive to feedback
Team-oriented and values collaboration
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate based on experience and certification
Additional paid opportunities for choreography, exams, and summer programming
