Social Studies & Academic Support Teacher

Support student achievement at CKRHS by teaching Social Studies and providing Academic Support for grades 6 and 7. This full-time role involves utilizing best practices to promote learning.

At the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education, you are expected to create an inclusive classroom environment and implement tailored strategies based on student needs. Your participation in continuous professional development and collaboration with peers will enhance educational outcomes. Interviews will take place between July 2 and July 3 for shortlisted applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Social Studies 6 and 7 with engaging methods

• Provide targeted Academic Support to enhance learning

• Implement impactful assessment strategies

• Engage in collaborative meetings and training sessions

• Maintain up-to-date records in communication systems

Requirements:

• Valid teaching certificate for Nova Scotia

• Experience with curriculum for grades 6 and 7

• Strong commitment to student-centered teaching

• Availability for interviews starting July 2

• Provide three professional references in application
