Additional Support Assistant

Support children with additional support needs as a Pupil Support Assistant, helping learning, personal care, mobility, and independence during term time. This temporary Moray Council post offers 15.25 hours weekly until 24 October 2027.

You will assist the early years team in creating positive learning experiences for children and young people. The work includes learning activities, personal and medical care, mobility support, and maintaining safe, healthy environments. Experience with school-age children, communication skills, and sound judgement are required.

• Support learning and teaching activities with early years staff
• Assist children with additional support needs
• Provide personal care and medical support
• Support pupil mobility and lifting tasks
• Maintain safe, healthy, and hygienic environments

• Experience supporting school-age children or young adults
• Standard-level education or equivalent, including English and Arithmetic
• SSSC registration or commitment to register within required timescales
• Patience, empathy, tolerance, and professional confidentiality
• PVG Scheme membership or Update check before formal offer
