Teach art at Elgin High School for 0.4 FTE across two days, preparing lessons and correcting assigned classwork. Support pupil learning through assessment and guidance.
This Teacher of Art post involves teaching assigned classes and developing the school curriculum. You will assess, record, and report pupil work, while preparing pupils for examinations and assisting with administration. The role includes safeguarding pupil welfare and working with families and professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach assigned art classes with preparation and correction
- Develop the school curriculum
- Assess, record, and report pupil work
- Prepare pupils for examinations and assist administration
- Provide educational advice and guidance to pupils
- Ability to promote pupil health, welfare, and safety
- Willingness to work with parents and support staff
- Commitment to agreed Continuing Professional Development
- Participation in school planning and individual review
- PVG Scheme membership or update check before formal offer
