Support students as an Educational Assistant Level D with the Waterloo Region District School Board, serving approximately 65,000 learners.
This current vacancy welcomes WRDSB EA Association members and external applicants. The assignment requires Educational Assistant qualifications or approved alternatives, with special-needs support experience preferred. Candidates must pass the Physical Demands test unless they already hold Permanent or LTO Level D hours.
Key Responsibilities:- Support students with special needs and behavioural disabilities
- Apply educational assistance skills in school-based settings
- Promote student achievement and well-being through support
- Participate in collaborative learning environments
- Certified Teacher or qualifying accredited post-secondary credential
- One year, or 1,224 hours, related experience where required
- Relevant volunteer experience may replace required work experience
- Pass the Physical Demands test when applicable
- Behaviour Management Systems certification is an asset
