Metallurgy Technician

Overview
Metallurgy Technician  – responsible for routine metallurgical, mechanical, failure, and corrosion testing to support metallurgy operations on site or in a laboratory.

Pay range: $24-26/hr CAD

If you are not currently authorized to work in Canada, Element Materials Technology will not consider your application. Any candidate must be lawfully eligible to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.

Responsibilities

Hardness testing, sample preparation, and report writing, including micro and macro examinations

Involvement in site and field testing

Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 requirements

Coordinate with teammates to execute work according to the planned schedule

Skills / Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Metallurgy or related discipline

2-4 years of experience in a laboratory conducting metallurgical testing

Knowledge of international standards and codes

Excellent report writing skills

Strong communication skills

Self‑motivated, team‑player with strong organizational and communication abilities
