As an Environmental Planner, your primary focus will be on leading assessments for transportation projects and engaging various stakeholders, including Indigenous communities. You will prepare high-impact documentation and navigate regulatory processes, ensuring compliance and fostering trusted relationships. This role is critical in mentoring junior personnel and enhancing project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead environmental assessments for provincial transportation projects
• Develop and deliver consultation plans and reports
• Solve complex environmental and regulatory problems
• Mentor junior team members for success
• Innovate engagement approaches for community involvement
Requirements:
• 7+ years completing environmental assessments in Ontario
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant disciplines
• Thorough understanding of provincial and federal frameworks
• Proven experience managing complex environmental projects
• Ability to design stakeholder engagement initiatives
Your role will be vital in shaping environmentally responsible infrastructure across Ontario with WSP.
