As an EHS Advisor, you will report to the EHS Manager and be responsible for ensuring adherence to safety standards. This includes overseeing inspections, managing hazardous materials, and promoting safety protocols within the fabrication team.
Your role will also involve advising on the development of effective safety management programs and engaging with field staff directly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform inspections on paint booths and hazardous areas
• Oversee safe practices for handling chemicals
• Validate the operation of safety equipment and systems
• Track inspection reports and safety training records
• Facilitate regular safety meetings and audits
Requirements:
• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in Health and Safety
• Preferred designation in safety such as NSCO or CRSP
• Background in chemical safety or Industrial Hygiene
• Familiarity with WHMIS and safety protocols
• Emergency planning and union environment experience
