Co-op Mechanical Design Engineer

Eclipse Automation is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Design Co-op in Cambridge, Ontario. This on-site opportunity emphasizes creating mechanical designs and engineering documentation using CAD tools.

In this Co-op role, you will work closely with the Mechanical Engineering team, tackling design challenges and ensuring compliance with standards. Responsibilities include detailed modeling and drafting in AutoCAD and Solid Works, as well as engaging in team discussions to optimize project outcomes. Your creative input will be vital in driving cutting-edge automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform calculations regarding strength, temperature, and pressure

• Analyze and verify engineering drawings for accuracy

• Produce BOMs and working drawings for projects

• Communicate project updates to team members

• Foster compliance with company standards and values

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Hands-on experience with robotics is desirable

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting

• Commitment to ethical business practices and safety
