Wastewater Technologist at City

Advance your career as a Wastewater Systems Technologist with the City of Cambridge. This role requires expertise in wastewater operations and optimization, essential for environmental integrity.

Within the Infrastructure Services Department, you will report to the Supervisor of Wastewater. Your responsibilities include managing pump station operations, overseeing contract management, and evaluating field methodologies. Being a technical expert, you will also operate key field equipment and coordinate both internal and contracted service work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with wastewater maintenance and operational workload

• Manage projects for pump station construction and maintenance

• Evaluate field staff methodologies against documented procedures

• Create SOPs and maintain records for contracted services

• Review SCADA data and generate performance reports

Requirements:

• 3-year College Diploma in environmental studies or related field

• Level I license for Water Distribution or Wastewater Collection

• Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation

• 2-3 years in municipal water and wastewater systems

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and SCADA systems
