Join BWXT as an On-Site Machining Engineer in Cambridge, ON, where you will play an essential role in developing and improving machining processes. Focus on technical support and quality assurance.
Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Apply your analytical skills and hands-on CNC machining knowledge to mentor team members, resolve issues, and streamline operations. Establish machining time standards and maintain comprehensive process documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create machining routings with operation and tooling details
• Analyze non-conformances and prepare corrective plans
• Implement and support effective machining procedures
• Lead improvements for machining efficiency on-site
• Mentor junior engineers and provide shop-floor support
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 3-5 years in a machining environment
• Proficiency in CNC machining processes
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles
