This position reports to the Estimating Manager and plays a crucial role in developing precise estimates for large-scale renewable energy construction projects. You will evaluate drawings, collaborate with stakeholders, and prepare comprehensive bid packages. Strong analytical and organizational skills will be required to navigate this fast-paced environment effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead detailed estimates for solar and battery storage projects
• Review electrical scope drawings and specifications
• Prepare complex quantity take-offs and pricing strategies
• Manage subcontractor bid solicitation and risk assessment
• Present estimate reviews to senior leadership and stakeholders
Requirements:
• 8+ years in construction estimating, focusing on renewable energy
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Familiarity with Canadian construction codes and standards
• Experience with estimating software, like Accubid or Bluebeam
