This Job posting is only for Internal Community Living Cambridge Staff member

TYPICAL HOURS OF WORK: 40 hrs weekly. 80 Bi-Weekly Flexibility required. Week nights (weekend flexibility required) Required to work Statutory Holidays.

DESCRIPTION OF

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support individuals to live with dignity, in line with the values and ethics of Community Living Cambridge

To uphold confidentiality of all individuals

To provide personal care support to residents during the night and morning routine.

Provide morning care, assist with personal hygiene, feeing and dressing. To dispense medications, record attendance and fire check. Transport clients to day programs in the morning

Health and Safety Representative for home

Carry out resident programs and other duties as outlined in the job description

FORMAL EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs and rights of person with developmental disabilities

Previous experience working with people who have disabilities and behavioural issues will be an asset

Teamwork, communication and good time management are important in this position

Must be able to perform the essential duties of the job - SOME LIFTING MAY BE REQUIRED

Must have a good/general overall work record with Community Living Cambridge

TECHNICAL

COMPETENCIES:

Valid driver's license

ATTENDANCE:
Good Standing
