Physiotherapy Assistant Role Ontario

We are seeking a compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant in Cambridge, Ontario, to support residents in achieving their rehabilitation goals. You will work alongside experienced Physiotherapists to implement effective treatment programs.

In this role, you will directly contribute to the well-being of residents in a Long Term Care environment. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will assist with various exercises, both in groups and one-on-one settings, as guided by the Physiotherapist. Documenting treatments and monitoring residents' health are key parts of your daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support group and individualized exercise programs

• Assist residents in achieving their planned treatment goals

• Record treatment progress and document health changes

• Facilitate safe walking and transferring of residents

• Apply treatments like hot packs and TENS therapy

Requirements:

• Completed Physiotherapy Assistant program or equivalent

• Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment

• Strong communication skills with elderly individuals

• Experience in Long Term Care settings is advantageous

• Current Vulnerable Sector police check required
