Extendicare is seeking a Personal Support Worker to support residents by adhering to care plans and enhancing their quality of life. This role involves personal care, meal preparation, and assisting with mobility while ensuring a safe, clean environment. You will be responsible for engaging with residents and clients, addressing their emotional and social needs, and reporting any changes in health to your supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to care plans under supervisor direction

• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities

• Prepare nutritious meals for residents as necessary

• Observe residents' conditions and report any changes

• Ensure residents’ safety and comfort during transfers

Requirements:

• Graduate from a Personal Support Worker program

• Experience in community health services with seniors

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required

• Complete a Vulnerable Sector Check within six months
