Make a difference as a Personal Support Worker at Extendicare, offering part-time support to those in need.
Your role will focus on personal care, meal preparation, and emotional support for residents.
As a vital part of Extendicare’s mission-driven team, you will assist in providing quality care based on individualized plans developed with supervision. Key responsibilities include supporting residents in daily activities, maintaining their safety, and reporting health changes. Engage with residents to provide social and emotional support while fostering a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
• Observe and report changes in resident health
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals as needed
• Facilitate safe transfers and ambulation for residents
• Ensure a clean environment and confidentiality of residents
Requirements:
• Graduate of a Personal Support Worker program
• Experience in community health settings with seniors
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification needed
• Willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
