About the roleThe Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patient sand families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

Qualifications, Experience,Skills and Abilities
- Secondary school diploma
- Mandatory phlebotomy experience
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Assistant from either theMLPAO or the CSLMS is preferred
- Meditech experience is an asset
- Good understanding of, and commitment to Quality Management/Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively withina team in a fast‑paced environment
- Provide excellent patient service and ensure confidentiality ofpatient information
- Venous, capillary and special collections including neonatal/pediatric collections, difficult draws
- Prioritize work or create the proper response to Stat, Urgentand Routine requests
- Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care
- Receiving and organizing requests for blood collectio
- Dispatch samples to the laboratory
- Assisting with inventory and supply control
- Assist in the orientation/training of new staff or students
- Organizing workload among technical team to ensure the efficiency
Salary Range: $32.480 to 37.020
