The Corporate Underwriting Analyst is responsible for supporting the personal lines corporate underwriting initiatives under the leadership of the corporate underwriting manager. The role supports the back‑office underwriting functions of the underwriting team. With a focus on the Risk Sharing Pool
What you will do:- Review policies identified on lists provided by data scientist
- Complete submission (manual and automated) of policies from the lists and track success
- Error correction management through portal and GW systems
- Submit and track system defects and attend weekly prioritization meeting with EDA
- Provide monthly update on status of policies within the RSP
- Work closely with supporting other departments or areas e.g. Claims, EDA, production support
- Monitor and respond to emails and escalations received from the UW Q&A mailbox this includes underwriting system issues with all underwriting systems, incorrect premiums, sending exception VIN’s for approval from IBC, rate group inquiries.
- Escalate concerns and provide recommendations to address gaps to meeting desired objectives to the corporate underwriting manager.
- Must respond with instructions on how to rectify the issues the user has encountered and maintain SLA.
- Support and assist with escalations from the NUO, Claims and Business Development
- Provide underwriting recommendations and guidance. This could be confirming set up of the broker in multiple systems including GW, DASH.
- Assist with the onboarding of portfolio opportunities; training, review, monitoring and underwriting questions.
- Bordereaux monthly tracking provides information to Finance.
- Respond to general underwriting questions for bordereaux.
- Working with the QA and Strategy teams to ensure binding authority aligns with strategy and requesting changes as required. Binding restriction can be in either Earnix or GW system.
- Completing High Value Referrals, referrals outside of authority of NUO including backdated changes where claim has occurred on policy.
- Wildfire and Flood monitoring for policy holds.

The expected base salary range for this position is $67,000 - $117,000. Depending on your relevant experience, skills, qualifications, market conditions and business needs, base compensation may vary. You have the potential to earn more through Gore Mutual’s discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
