As a Buyer, you will report to the Produce Sourcing Director and manage vendor relationships while implementing effective buying strategies. Your expertise in procurement and supply chain will be crucial as you navigate weekly product buys, oversee vendor meetings, and assess product innovation in line with Loblaw Brands and retail divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Source seasonal and weekly product buys
• Implement buying strategies based on category playbooks
• Manage vendor performance and financial results
• Negotiate product costing and lead vendor meetings
• Research competition and global sourcing strategies
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in business or supply management
• At least 3 years in procurement or supply chain
• Strong analytical and financial skills
• Excellent communication and relationship management
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
