Elevate your career as a Buyer with Atlas Copco in Cambridge, Ontario. This role focuses on procurement cycles for medical gas systems and high-quality office products.
As a Buyer, you will coordinate purchasing, interact with suppliers for quotes, and assist in inventory management. Collaborating with Engineering, Logistics, and Project Management will be key to ensuring inventory levels meet organizational requirements while maintaining efficiency and quality. Your expertise will be critical in optimizing procurement processes to support operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and issue purchase orders in ERP (SAP Act!)
• Analyze vendor pricing and pursue cost-saving opportunities
• Correspond with suppliers to manage purchase order statuses
• Maintain records of materials, prices, and vendor lead times
• Coordinate returns and ensure accurate inventory counts
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years in purchasing or related fields
• Proficient in ERP software, preferably SAP Act!
• Bilingual in English and French is an asset
• Strong communication skills with vendors
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset
