The Region of Waterloo is hiring for a full-time Facilities General Maintenance Specialist at the Regional Operations Centre. This position requires three years of relevant experience and encompasses various maintenance tasks, including handling electrical and plumbing systems and performing grounds maintenance. It's an excellent opportunity to support multiple public facilities, ensuring operational excellence and community service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain building systems without trade certification
• Conduct inspections and minor repairs on plumbing and electrical
• Perform grounds maintenance activities as required
• Set up and clean work sites for safety
• Respond to urgent maintenance emergencies promptly
Requirements:
• High school diploma and 3 years of maintenance experience
• Knowledge of building and fire codes compliance
• Valid G driver's license with a clean record
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Security and police background checks required
