Position: Facility Operator I for Housing Services
Become a Facility Management Operator I with the Region of Waterloo, dedicated to the upkeep of housing properties. This full-time role involves maintenance tasks, site inspections, and tenant engagement.

As the Facility Management Operator I, you will enhance the living quality at Waterloo Region Housing locations by executing preventive maintenance and managing work orders. Your background in building systems, including HVAC and plumbing, will be essential in this role. You'll be responsible for routine inspections, immediate repairs, and liaising with contractors to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and oversee building maintenance

• Respond to and resolve maintenance requests from tenants

• Assist contractors and monitor ongoing work progress

• Document maintenance activities and issues encountered

• Implement health and safety standards across properties

Requirements:

• 5 years of relevant experience with a grade 12 diploma

• In-depth knowledge of building systems and operations

• A valid G driver’s license or equivalent is mandatory

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills

• Participation in emergency on-call duty required
