Position: Waterloo Facilities Maintenance Specialist Role
Join the Region of Waterloo as a Facilities General Maintenance Specialist. This full-time position ensures the upkeep of various facilities, focusing on maintenance and safety from 8 AM to 4 PM.

As a key member of the Facilities Operations Department, you will perform essential preventive maintenance and repair tasks in several community facilities, including libraries, social housing, and transit services. The position requires troubleshooting skills in HVAC, plumbing, and general repairs, making it ideal for skilled individuals with a passion for service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems

• Conduct inspections and minor repairs without trade certification

• Manage grounds and outdoor facility maintenance

• Maintain organized and safe work environments

• Address emergencies and assist in equipment care

Requirements:

• High school education plus 3 years of maintenance experience

• Understanding of safety regulations and standards

• Must possess a valid G driver’s license

• Capability to work flexible hours including weekends

• Required security and police clearances
