Join Hacksmith as a CNC Operator and help bring real‑life superhero tech to life! You’ll produce precision parts for The Smith Blade , operate and maintain CNC machines, and ensure every piece meets our high standards. This is hands‑on, fast‑paced work in a creative shop where your skills directly shape what millions will see online.
While this is a weekend focused shift, there will be opportunities to pick up more hours during the week to help boost production or while others are away.
What You’ll Do
CNC operation
Loading and running programs on both Siemens 828D Control & Haas NGC Control
Loading and unloading pallets
Fresh material need to be loaded into pallets, and semi finished parts moved to other pallets
Pallets need to switched out in the machines
QC
Measuring parts from the machine
Replacing broken and worn out milling cutters
Organize and label parts clearly and accurately.
Adhere to all safety standards and keep the workstations clean and organized
Coordinate the safe storage of materials in locations where access is easy for the QA and assembly
Provide daily reports on production
Liaise with Shop Manager and Production Manager pertaining to machine maintenance and performance
About You
The CNC Operator will be a highly skilled professional, possessing excellent attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude. This role involves producing pieces and parts for our Smith Blade using CNC, and potentially other, machines, adhering strictly to project specifications to ensure on‑schedule delivery.
What We’re Looking For
1+ years of machining experience and/or some schooling
Good working knowledge of measuring tools and drawing
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively and efficiently
Experience with CNC Operations would be an asset, but not mandatory
Bonus Points For
Experience in a startup environment
High Volume work experience
Quality Control experience
General machining experience
