In this exciting role, you'll support the Materials Testing Laboratory by operating precision machines and preparing metal, plastic, and rubber samples. Your contributions will play a vital role in the lab's varied testing initiatives while adhering to strict safety guidelines and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and run precision cutting and grinding machines

• Maintain equipment and track performance logs

• Machine samples with strict adherence to tolerances

• Provide suggestions for new testing jigging

• Use forklift to manage large materials efficiently

Requirements:

• Completion of high school; apprenticeship in machining preferred

• Proficient understanding of machining tools and processes

• Ability to measure and estimate dimensions accurately

• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds

• Proficient in basic computer operation
