Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position’s main focus will be to inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Inspect, install, repair, replace, adjust all mechanical equipment in the plant.Receive instructions, prints or work orders, covering scheduled and emergency repairs, installation and inspection work to be done.Determine the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.Advise when immediate shut down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.Assemble or align gears, bearings and shafts, involving press, sliding and running fits, align pumps, motors, turbines and gear reducers.Responsible for performing assigned maintenance work on large and small producing units.Operate power driven mobile equipment and ordinary crane hooking.Education/Experience
Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Mechanic/Millwright –
A) as recognized by the Ontario College of Trades is required.Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred.Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, with exposure to PM, Hydraulics, VF drives, PLC’s welding, crane work.Strong communication and work ethic, ability to work in a team and with other trades.Basic computers experience a must.Additional Information
All successful candidates must pass a post-medical and ergonomic assessment.Background, education and criminal record check will be performed.Must have the ability to work rotating shifts.
