At our Cambridge Facility,  we fabricate and assemble components for heavy truck, defense, and off-road equipment companies. We feature fitting and welding, metal forming, saw cutting, painting, assembly department, and manufacture everything from small components to large structures, sheet metal to heavy plate.
Compensation Range:  $23.07 to $29.89 hourly

Job Summary:

As a Shipper / Receiver, works with team members to facilitate the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment, and stock to and from establishments. You will provide support to ensure that shipping and receiving commitments are achieved.

Primary Responsibilities:

Organize the shipping & receiving department.
Label parts for shipping documents.
Make transportation/trucking arrangements.
Checking shipments received against bills of lading, invoices or purchase orders to ensure that any discrepancies are identified and brought to the appropriate departments’ attention.
Inspecting shipments for damage and recording details.
Check part numbers and quantities to be shipped.
Generate packing slips for parts to be shipped.
Coordinate forklift and truck maintenance.
Building appropriate shipment skids and proper packaging techniques.
Ship control documents, custom papers, and packing slips.
Maintain Incoming / Outgoing inspections of material, supplies, and finished products.
Coordinating the movement of inventory throughout the plants.
Receiving of inventory.
Expediting material through the Visual system
Work with Quality Assurance, inspecting all incoming and outgoing parts.
Maintain / clean, and organize the yard outside the plant.

Educational Requirements:

Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent
Required Skills & Expertise:
You have at least 3-5 years of previous work-related experience in the same or related industry.
Must have forklift experience in sit-down propane counterbalance and stand-up reach
Experience in the manufacturing industry is an asset
Lifting up to 50 lbs manually
Forklift experience (counterbalance)
ERP experience (Visual Manufacturing)
