Role Description  The CNC Programmer role is a full-time hybrid position based in Cambridge, ON, with some flexibility for working from home. In this role, the CNC Programmer will create, review, and optimize CNC programs for machining and milling operations, ensuring parts meet design specifications and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies, setting up programs for various CNC machines, and troubleshooting issues related to program performance and part quality.

The CNC Programmer will collaborate with machinists, engineers, and project teams to support production schedules, improve manufacturing processes, and maintain accurate documentation for programs and setups. The role also involves continuous improvement activities, such as refining machining parameters, enhancing workflow efficiency, and contributing to safety and quality initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong CNC Programming and Programming skills for creating, editing, and optimizing machine code.
Proficiency in Machining and Milling operations, with hands‑on understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret Technical Drawings, blueprints, and engineering documentation.

Experience with CNC controls and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar) is highly beneficial.
Attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and a focus on quality and safety in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams in a hybrid work setting.
Relevant technical diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in machining, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering.
Experience in automated or high‑precision manufacturing environments is an asset.
