Job Description

The mill operator loads and unloads parts into CNC milling machines and inspects finished components to ensure they meet quality standards in a production environment.

• Load raw and semi-finished parts into CNC milling machines according to production requirements.

• Unload completed parts from the mill and handle them safely to prevent damage.

• Inspect parts after milling to verify quality, dimensions, and overall conformity to specifications.

• Monitor machine operation during production runs and respond promptly to any issues or irregularities.

• Perform basic machine adjustments to maintain consistent output and product quality.

• Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and production schedules.

• Support general labor tasks on the shop floor as needed to keep production flowing smoothly.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area around the milling machines and shared production spaces.

• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on CNC milling experience in a production environment.

• Proficiency in operating CNC milling machines safely and efficiently.

• Ability to perform basic quality checks and visual inspections on machined parts.

• Experience with general labor tasks in a manufacturing or machine shop setting.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to production procedures.

• Previous experience in a climate‑controlled machine shop environment.

• Comfort working with production targets and timelines.

• Reliability and strong work ethic, including consistent attendance and punctuality.

• Willingness to support a variety of tasks on the shop floor as needed.

This role is based in a climate‑controlled machine shop, providing a clean and comfortable setting for production work. You will operate CNC milling machines and related equipment in a shop‑floor environment that emphasizes safety and organization. The position follows straight day shifts, offering consistent hours and a predictable schedule. Standard industrial attire and appropriate safety gear are required to work safely around machinery and production equipment.

This is a Contract position based out of Cambridge, ON.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Cambridge,ON.
