Build rugged forestry equipment as a Mechanical Assembler in Cambridge, using blueprints, hand tools, and power tools on a dedicated shift. Tigercat offers day and afternoon schedules at its Industrial Road location.
This Mechanical Assembler fits and assembles mechanical components and systems for challenging forestry terrain. You will read engineering diagrams, schematics, assembly instructions, and parts lists while positioning, aligning, and adjusting parts. The work includes connecting hoses, tubes, clamps, and wires, then verifying equipment function and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Read assembly instructions, diagrams, schematics, and parts lists
- Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit
- Connect hoses, tubes, clamps, and wires
- Fasten sub-assemblies using hand, power, and pneumatic tools
- Operate lifting devices during large assembly installations
- Mechanical skills using hand tools and power tools
- Related recreational vehicle or equipment repair experience
- Blueprint or assembly drawing experience is an asset
- Effective communication and reasoning skills for collaborative projects
- Ability to pull, push, lift, stand, climb, kneel, and bend
