Job Description
Salary Range: $41.15 - $58.98
Full‑time contract expected to end March 2028
This is a full‑time position to work 12‑hour shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays. The RN provides direct care to patients within the framework of the Registered Nurse. The RN works in collaboration with and interacts with all members of the Intensive Care Unit multidisciplinary team and other personnel. The RN demonstrates professional responsibility, and is accountable for own practice.
The RN demonstrates actions consistent with hospital policies and procedures.
The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending. The RN contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Other duties as per job fact sheet.
Skills and Qualifications
Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse in good standing required
Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required
Two (2) years’ of current experience in ICU required
BCLS, ACLS required
Certifications for ECG, defibrillation, intravenous certification, IV medication, epidural, and pulmonary artery monitoring required
Critical Care Program certificate required
Excellent physical assessment skills required
Good communication skills (both written and verbal) essential
Problem solving ability and crisis intervention skills required
Keyboarding skills and knowledge of Meditech and Omni Cell would be a definite asset
Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required
