Part Time Registered Practical Nurse

Elevate patient care as a part-time Registered Practical Nurse with Extendicare, focusing on personalized and goal-directed nursing while ensuring compliance with provincial standards.

Reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness, the RPN will collaborate within an interprofessional team to deliver high-quality nursing care.

Your role entails assessing resident needs, implementing care plans, and maintaining documentation. Additionally, you will directly administer medications, provide education, and coordinate resident care effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver goal-directed patient-oriented care

• Conduct clinical assessments and maintain accurate documentation

• Implement and evaluate care/service plans

• Administer medications and treatments per regulations

• Respond to medical emergencies and manage care changes

Requirements:

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse

• Experience in senior care environments preferred

• Education in geriatric care or rehabilitation is an asset

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

• Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification
