As part of the Medicine Team, the Registered Practical Nurse plays a vital role in delivering exceptional healthcare to patients in the Waterloo Region. This position requires skills in patient assessment and effective communication with families, ensuring comprehensive support and education. The role is heavily focused on monitoring patient conditions, performing treatments, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform treatments and assess patient's conditions

• Monitor and document changes in patient health

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients

• Educate patients and families on care processes

• Participate in interdisciplinary reporting and care planning

Requirements:

• Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• RPN Diploma or equivalent and current CPR certification

• Minimum one year recent medical experience required

• Excellent physical assessment skills and communication abilities

• Familiarity with blood product monitoring preferred
